I´m a Swedish nature freak. I met my soul mate that happened to be American. We both dreamed about having our own ranch growing organic fruit and vegetables while living with our horses and learning more about the nature that surrounds us. We got our 85acres ranch in The Sierra Nevadas, Auburn CA in January this year. We love it!!! The wildlife is rich and everything we need for (survival)food is already growing on our property. We´re in the learning process of exploring viable options in organic farming and sustainability. My blog is about that process and our family life in the wild.
That was a few lines about me. I´m really looking forward to be inspired and learn from you!
Right now I have a poll on my blog about names for our new alpacas. I would be very happy if you took time to vote. It´s a picture and some name alternatives from my blog readers on the top right corner. http://discoveringranchlife.blogspot.com/
All the best,
Maria Northcutt
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16582234471404191800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790077100590764891.post-50441948486634369562012-09-20T15:25:16.072+10:002012-09-20T15:25:16.072+10:00I have a $150 Bunnings Giveaway on my blog A Green...I have a $150 Bunnings Giveaway on my blog A Green Earth and I welcome you and your readers to enter.agreenearthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04309724297531680581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790077100590764891.post-136580618792573152012-04-06T20:12:23.182+10:002012-04-06T20:12:23.182+10:00Here's a great recipe for rusks if you wish to...Here's a great recipe for rusks if you wish to try it
1kg self raising flour 200 ml sugar, 5ml baking powder, 190 gr butter (melted), 10gr ml salt, 500gr buttermilk, 2 eggs. I haven't got a blog post about it yet, but I think it'll be along the lines of more whole and local foods, Reclaiming my vegetable garden from the couch grass and encroaching ivy (maybe getting rid of the ivy altogether! That involves an enormous amount of work and some poison though, so we'll see), and more exercise/getting fitter, plus petsisting With the decluttering project of 2011.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790077100590764891.post-39804314948789800722011-12-22T22:31:59.513+11:002011-12-22T22:31:59.513+11:00Oh the joys of sock knitting, therapy for the hand...Oh the joys of sock knitting, therapy for the hands and the soul...no pun intended...toasty warm feet, couldn't be better...Suzie sewshttp://dottyred.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790077100590764891.post-30775230135624889062011-12-03T15:17:53.836+11:002011-12-03T15:17:53.836+11:00Wow! It's been a bad year for brussels sprouts - too warm and they've all gone loose and are starting to go to flower. I was just about to pull them all out when I noticed that the cabbage moths like them much better than the broccoli. So my brussels sprouts are being "value added" as chook food, and I'm getting a last little bit of crop out of the broccoli.Linda Woodrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12756953372506344907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4790077100590764891.post-39982443852779823552011-11-23T06:44:56.053+11:002011-11-23T06:44:56.053+11:00Wow!
